Our Guest of HONOR is Sridevi, Indian Actress who has starred in More than 280 movies. 63 Hindi, 20 Malayalam, 57 Tamil & 63 Telegu. She started acting at the tender age of four and made her debut as an adult in the early 80's. She went on to establish herself as one of the most beautiful and finest actresses of all times. Himmatwala, Tohfa, Sadma, Nagina, Nagina Part 2, Karma, Chaalbaaz, Chandni are some of her finest works. Having worked with Super stars like Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachan, Kamal Hassan, Rajnikant, Sunny Deol, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshey Kumar and Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire Fame and also her Brother-in-law) Married to Bollywood Producer/Director Boney Kapoor, They have two Daughters Jhanvi and Khushi.
Sridevi an Oxford graduate, has been nominated record 10 times for the coverted Filmfare Best Actress Award. She received the best actress award for Chaalbaaz and Lamhe in 1990 & 1992 respectively. "Kalasarawathi" award for outstanding achievement in the world of cinema by Government of India added a feather in her cap. in 2008 Sridevi has the distinction of achieving "Living Legend in Entertainment" award. We are happy to have her be at our show.

Asian Lifestyle Show
This Year East West Shows Presents: "Asian Lifestyle Show" at the Bombay Banquet Hall in the heart ofSurrey B.C. This high end and intimate event will allow guests to help make decisions on their important aspects and occasions of their daily life.
The show is broken down into two areas Wedding booths and Lifestyle Booths Meet one-on- one with our local vendors to explore and find everything you need in making the right choices for your special Wedding occasion. Vendors will help you in making informed decisions, choosing products and services for you Wedding Events and new lifestyles. This has been an ongoing part of this shows objective for the past Five Years.
We have two new Features added to this years event. Our first one is the Interactive Platform where speakers from Organizations and Companies will show some of the new trends in Weddings and Lifestyle. The Platforms are seminars that that give you the opportunity to view their products and services and learn how to use them in every-day life.
Our Second is the Wedding Singing Contest, a traditional part of south asian culture that engaes with many people in the community and allows them to be part of the show. We have 4 categories that contestants will enter to see if they have what it takes to be a great singing group and at the same time have an audience who will cheer for them. The contest winners will be awarded amazing prices and these awards will be done by the Bollywood stars.
Our Goal is to showcase the following areas [Wedding Planning] [Fashions, Accessories, Hair, and Skincare & Beauty] [Health, Fitness, and Mind & Body] [Food & Drinks] [Home, Decor, and Travel & Tourism].
Dazzling Fashion Shows
A spectacular runway show is always expected‚ with sensational fashions‚ vibrant music‚ exceptional choreography‚ and spectacular entertainment. This year’s show is more than just wedding gowns‚ it’s full of glamorous outfits for every occasion! From corsets and jeans to extravagant beaded gowns and shimmery sarees‚ don’t miss out on this once–a–year stage show that will leave you speachless!
Platform Speakers
We have added a new part in the show. The lifestyle area has interactive platforms to showcase what local organization have to offer to the community. Each organization has 15 minute time where there representatives will come and share with our guests the benefits from learning more about there services or product. The platform will be important to provide information on the organization.
This year we want to broaden and make our community aware of the great things many organization have to offer to the public. This NEW and Exciting area is focus more on the learning side of the show. Please look at the list of Platform speakers and learn from them.

Singing Contest
East West Shows Proudly Presents our first wedding singing contest.
Come out and be a part of this exciting event.
Amazing prizes will be given out to the winners of each category.

How Many People in a group?
All groups entering the contest must be of 4 to 6 people per group.
What's the Dress Code?
All groups must be dress in Traditional Indian Clothing (Suits, Lenghas, Sari)
Deadline?
All entry forms must be in to the office by February 12, 2009 by 5PM
Selection of teams will take place on February 15, 2009
Shows will take place on February 21 and 22, 2009
Winners will be chosen on February 22 at the last show.
Group information
Each time slot will have 2 teams competing and we will have two slots per song/Team
Each group will have up to 5 minutes to compete
The Show Concept
Each group will be placed accoring to show coordinator to have a smooth flow of the show.
Performances are done in order of actual wedding theme.
Nanake, Mendhi/ Suhaag, Sehra Bandi/ Ghorigan, Doli.
Nanake Songs will compete at 1:10pm on Saturday and Sunday
Mendhi/ Suhaag Songs will compete at 1:35pm Saturday and Sunday
Sehra Bandi / Ghorian songs will compete at 4:10pm Saurday and Sunday
Doli songs will compete at 4:35pm Saturday and Sunday

Should I bring someone with me to the event?
Yes! Your fiancé‚ family members‚ wedding party‚ and friends can be a great asset to you as you plan your wedding. They can collect information so you can look it over when you get home. You can also bounce ideas off of them at the show when you meet with exhibitors and book your services.
How long should I plan to stay at the event?
Stay for as long as you need to enjoy the event. You'll need time to meet with all of the exhibitors‚ sample the food‚ watch one of the 2 bridal shows‚ and get ideas for your wedding. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes!
What types of businesses will I see at an event?
Visit over 100 booths and meet with wedding professionals that cover everything from the necessities you'll need to plan your perfect day to settling into your new married life. Please refer to our vendors directory for more specific information on the attending businesses.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
It is best to come prepared with a pen or self–addressed labels to register for prizes and information.
